I am not for gay marriage...
But I still believe in love.
And I definitely believe in equal rights for all law-abiding Americans.
Will that ever happen?

I'm Every Woman
What sad news to hear this morning that the iconic and incomparable Whitney Houston passed away yesterday. So far the news media is being fairly gracious with their coverage of this very sad and unexpected loss of one of the most talented musicians ever. I must admit, I look forward to watching The Grammy Awards tonight, as there will surely be many tributes to Whitney.
It makes me think of the truth that we all wrestle with demons throughout our lifetime. No matter the heights we reach, the battles we fight and win (or lose) -- there will always be that demon nipping at our Achilles' heel.
I wonder, how will we be remembered when our time comes to leave this life? How do you want to be remembered? I believe that Whitney would be moved by how she was remembered at her Funeral on February 18, 2012.

I Want a New Drug
“Love is like a narcotic. At first it brings the euphoria of complete surrender. The next day, you want more. You’re not addicted yet, but you like the sensation, and you think you can still control things. You think about the person you love for two minutes, and forget them for three hours. But then you get used to that person, and you begin to be completely dependent on them. Now you think about him for three hours and forget him for two minutes. If he’s not there, you feel like an addict who can’t get a fix. And just as addicts steal and humiliate themselves to get what they need, you’re willing to do anything for love.”
