Tea anyone?

The other day I was stuck in maddening traffic for quite some time. But being behind this car at one point provided me a much needed chuckle! I could read the sticker on the window clearly sitting there behind this car, but my camera phone didn't capture the clarity as much as I hoped. So you can read what the sticker said on the inset here.

Adele's voice is a one of a kind gem!

Dare we dream: DOMA down?

Well, no. Not yet. But at least now there is a glimmer of hope that at the National level one day DOMA indeed could go down as a "was" instead of a present reality hindering equality as law of the land.

It's no longer too far fetched to dream that one day in America LGBT adults may actually have the same privilege of being married across State lines to their chosen partner. Here are just some of the 1138 reasons why marriage equality matters.

Now, for the news from yesterday. The Obama administration said it will no longer defend the constitutionality of a federal law banning recognition of same-sex marriage: DOMA. To make that point, the White House instructed the Department of Justice to stop defending DOMA in court. Of course, this doesn't mean that the DOMA battle is over. But this signals that perhaps now the defeat of DOMA can begin in earnest.

A Moment from the "DUH" Files:

Any of my faithful readers of my Bridges Blog know that I have previously shared one of my "guilty pleasures" -- watching (and making fun of) The Bachelor. One of the best parts of the show to heckle are the regular phrases that you could almost make a drinking game out of. One such saying by the host Chris Harrison is depicted in this little video below captured by my phone while watching this week's installment. How else would anyone ever know when we had reached the final rose?

Bucket List?

Well, at least that is one thing taken care of.

(Now, on to the rest of the list... Hmm.)
